SESVanderHave, an international player in sugar beet seed production and commercialization, partnered  with the VIB Agro-Incubator.

Different crop protection products were sprayed on various beet varieties using the automated robotic precision sprayer. High-throughput phenotyping was performed at the moment of application and every 7 days after, for a period of three weeks. At each time point, high resolution images were acquired from RGB and multispectral cameras in top and side view. The analyzed parameters included side and top area, gravitational height, side width, greenness, root area, root diameter and root length.
